Franz Brandner has been constantly developing his natural artistic talent. His love for nature has been manifested in his expressive works, which reflects the dialogue between the artist and the world around him.

With his artistic works, Franz Brandner furthermore adds an important contribution to the excellent relations existing between the Republic of Korea and Austria. Further proof of his increasing international reputation are his numerous solo exhibitions and the fact that countries where Brandner’s exhibitions have been staged include the United States, France, Germany and Japan.

Through his travels to various countries, he learned the versatile language of cultural peculiarities, which is reflected in the fascinating visual language of his masks of world cultures.

Masks tell stories about people and cultures. Great facial expressions, expressive colors, strong emotions allow us to immerse ourselves in a new world where reality and imagination merge. The strange and the unknown, the mysterious, the mystical and fantasy, all of these are conveyed in his masks and futuristic paintings.   

Brandner is a master of classical contemporary art. Unimpressed by the trends, he charts his own path. He is constantly searching for authenticity in his paintings, as he believes that genuine manifestation of one’s creativity is what matters. Brandner’s inspiration for his works stems from his daily living encounters, whether they are objects, nature, people or special experiences. Everything is worth to be painted, it only matters how one portrays it. Everything in the universe exists in relationships and is interconnected. The language of images used by artists in the creative process will eventually elevate and bring us to a new level of awareness and appreciation. It is also the symbiosis of reality and imagination that accompanies the creative process.
